The other morning I was reading these verses and they just spoke right to my heart. Because I just needed someone to tell me it’s going to be all right. And I think we all need that sometimes.

“I called out your name, O GOD, called from the bottom of the pit. You listened when I called out, ‘Don’t shut your ears! Get me out of here! Save me!’ You came close when I called out. You said, ‘It’s going to be all right.’”
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:55-57‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When your kid is making poor decisions, it’s going to be all right. When your finances are in a strain, it’s going to be all right. When your marriage has hit a rough spot, it’s going to be all right. When the doctor doesn’t have good news, it’s going to be all right.

Does that mean it will be perfect or work out the way you want it to? No. You may still have to walk through that illness. You may still lose your job. You may still walk through divorce. The author of these verses is still in the pit!!! He’s still walking through a tough time when God tells him it’s going to be all right. You will still walk through stuff. But it does mean that we shouldn’t fear because God is with us and in the end, it’s going to be all right. And for that I am so very thankful. Even when I’m in the pit and it’s dark and I don’t know my way out, it’s going to be all right.

Lord Jesus, help us to call out to you in our times of need. Help us to have peace in knowing that it’s going to be all right. Even with the diagnosis isn’t good. Even when the money isn’t there. Strengthen our faith to know that you are there and you are working it out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
