I am Weak and He is Strong

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT

We all remember singing Jesus Loves Me when we were kids and even singing it to our children. We sing this song but do we even begin to think how deep of a meaning these words have. I am Weak and He is Strong, these words right here are enough to stop you in your tracks. Do we really believe through everything we are put through that He is Strong? I will be the first to admit No. Why? I want to fix it, I want control, I want to be strong. It is so easy to do it ourselves and not let God handle it. This isn’t how it is supposed to be.

We are promised trials and tribulations everyday of our lives. When these trials happen, God wants us to turn to Him for help. After all, He is our Everlasting Father, our Abba Daddy, the one who is holding out His arms for us to come running into. We need to let our Father be the strong one, and we need to sit down in His arms. The storms will not last forever!

We need to find that quiet place, talk to God, study His word, and be alone, listening for His voice to comfort us. We need to make things better instead of easier. By doing this, we will see the reward is so much more then we could imagine. Look at Ruth, she chose a better way by going with Naomi to Moab and she met Boaz and became part of the direct line to Jesus Christ. That was so much better than returning to her parents.

Imagine what is in store for us when we let the trails happen, we let God be the strong one, and we choose better over easier. This is what I’m going to do from now on! How about You?
