Deeply Loved, Deeply Saved, Deeply His… Daughters of the Deep Are Deeply Anchored
“For God so Loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:16-18, NIV, emphasis added).
Even before the moments of creation, before Adam took his first breath before sin came… God knew that He, God the Son, would be taking a cross for us. He still chose to give us life knowing it would cost Him so much. A Father’s love is something greater than we can put into words and that is the love shown through the sending of God the Son. The creator’s love for us was so great that He made sure we had a way to come back to Him if only we would believe. We still have free will but now instead of freedom to sin… we have the chance to do something greater, the freedom to follow Truth. His Love is the reason why we have that choice.
How easily I overlook His Love. God loves me and that was why He wants me. I don’t have to do anything to earn His love. It is freely given. He loved humanity enough that He would not let death be our ending. Once we believe in Him, we embrace the greatest love we will ever know. Nothing can take that love away from us once we believe! Receive how deeply loved you are, dear one!
“neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39).
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10).
Saved. His love calls us saved. His grace and love poured out on the cross so that we may be saved from death’s sting… His love covered us, justifying us so that we stand before God cleansed and saved from the sin debt we owed. For if we confess Him both Lord and Savior and believe He had victory over death… we are saved! We are covered… We are Saved! We can be certain!
This salvation and freedom from sin should make us follow Him deeper! Once, I understood my sin state and how much I needed Him and how much He wanted me… I cannot imagine living a second without Him. I cannot imagine going through everyday life without His assurance! Have you accepted Him? You can count on Him! His love and His work to save us can be counted on! We do not have to doubt His love. We do not have to doubt our salvation… we are deeply saved.
“In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment…” (1 John 4:17).
“Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir” (Galatians 4:6-7).
Out of love, He saved us and He saved us so that we would be His and rule with Him. I cannot fathom it. Not only would he save us and “put up with us” but He truly wants to be in us. To work with us. Not just tolerate us but to make us HIS! He sends His Holy Spirit to dwell in us to build a relationship with us, to be our great aid, to help us, to call us higher! We are HIS!
I cannot get over that God, who loves me, wishes not only to aid me but doesn’t want to be separated from me since the moment I said, “Yes, I believe you are the risen Lord and Savior!”, that He dwells in me. From the time sin entered until the time we say yes to Him, we lived in separation. But right when that changes when we accept Him… He doesn’t want to be apart from us! We are deeply His!
“The Spirit of God dwells in you” (Romans 8:9).
“We have this hope as an anchor for our soul, firm and secure” (Hebrews 6:19).
You know what I love about anchors. They are dependable, they keep us from drifting, they keep us steady, they go deep…
That is what Daughters of the Deep is running for. A dependable God, that gave us His Word to keep us from drifting, to keep us steady and so that we may know Him DEEPLY! What greater joy than knowing our Lord and Savior! His Inspired Error Free Word… given to us so that we would know HIM DEEPLY!
So, this is my challenge for you. Dive with us because you cannot live on milk alone (Hebrews 5:13).
Be Deeply Anchored.
